New members of any age or ability are welcome to join the Club. Chess socials are relaxed and friendly, with games played between players with a wide range of abilities. Experienced players are often able to give tips and advice to new and improving members. Each year we run club tournaments on a Swiss-system format, meaning players usually get to play at least four games each.
All members must join the English Chess Federation and are then eligible to play in both the Leicestershire and Rutland and Northamptonshire Leagues.
The club meets for non-chess socials too, visiting local restaurants and pubs.
Membership Rates
- Adults: Annual fees are £20 club membership, £26 for venue
- Juniors: No charge, for friendlies. £20 for league chess.
Payments can be made by cheque, electronic bank transfer or cash.
